Photobucket

Using the Cellphone Repair tool, lightly pry up one side of the front housing
away from the siderails…This will make the plastic screen cover pop up enough
in order to get underneath.

Photobucket

GENTLY and SLOWLY work the cellphone repair tool underneath the plastic screen cover.

Note: Towards the top (where the LCD light and BlackBerry logo are)
requires extra effort.

Just remember to go SLOW and GENTLY!

Photobucket

Remove the plastic cover from the screen.

Photobucket

Starting at the BOTTOM of the phone, use the cellphone repair tool to
pry the housing away. Angle your cellphone repair tool so that the angle is pointing towards
the INSIDE of the device, and pull down and out. There are two clips holding it in place
which it will disconnect from.

Photobucket

Once the bottom has disconnected, while you are pulling it away from the device, also pull it UP.

WARNING: If you try and go from the top of the device, you are going to break the clips at that top that hold the front housing on the device.

Photobucket

Photobucket

These two pictures aren’t the clearest, however, what they are pointing to is the clips at the TOP
where the housing and the “board” connect.

Again, if you start at the top and try to pry off the housing,
YOU WILL BREAK THESE CLIPS!

Photobucket

Remove the screws underneath the keypad.

There are a a total of 4.
Photobucket

Remove the 2 screws at the top, above the screen.

Photobucket

To remove the board and screen from the back housing…

Put your cellphone repair tool on the LEFT HAND SIDE of the device

IN BETWEEN THE MICRO-USB PORT and the LEFT SIDE CONVENIENCE KEY.

Gently pull the sidebar away from the device, while pulling the board away from the housing.

Photobucket

Once the left hand side of the device is loose, pull the board out in an up and across motion.

Photobucket

Photobucket

At the top of the screen is the ribbon connecting it to the board. Disconnect it.

Photobucket

The screen can now be released from the board.

Next, on the back of the device, look for the metal plate that is being shown in the picture below.

There is a screw underneath that white circle…Unscrew it.

WARNING. IF YOU DO NOT UNSCREW THIS SCREW AND
JUST TRY AND PULL OUT THE TRACKPAD OR
TRY AND PRY THE KEYBOARD OUT,
YOU WILL BREAK IT AND PROBABLY START CRYING.

SO UNSCREW THAT SCREW AND REMOVE THE METAL PLATE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO!
